Aitor Bediaga nos da cuenta de que la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia organiza Open Innovation & University:Competitiveness & Development. Se trata de una conferencia a celebrar los próximos 26 y 27 de mayo con un programa en el que, entre otras figuras del toreo, contarán con Henry Chesbrough.

Según leemos en su sitio web las conferencias se enfocan en buena medida hacia la relación entre la universidad y el resto de agentes de la innovación. Así que pretenden reunir a un amplio abanico de profesionales relacionados con la innovación en su sentido más amplio, tanto relacionados con la Universidad como con otras instituciones. También lo organizan con la idea de difundir la Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación, un proyecto volcado hacia la colaboración entre todas esas partes que dibujan el panorama de la innovación abierta.

Innovation has become a key factor in relation to the competitiveness of companies and countries. Innovation based on new business solutions, new knowledge or knowledge combinations, often looks to the university and thinks about how to make use of the scientific and technological capacity arising from research. In this way the university becomes a key element in the knowledge based economies of the innovation system. If the relationship bridges between the university and the company do not work, this means the innovation system turns out to be inefficient. One of the priorities in all advanced societies is to facilitate the innovation process from the university with greater mechanisms and incentives for research assessment.
